Employee Rights Bill – Right to Switch Off

There are many updates coming through relating to the Employment Rights Bill which followed on from Sir Keir Starmer’s New Deal for Working People. We will provide updates on the changes as and when they come through.
One initial proposal was the right to switch off outside of working hours. This no longer features in the Employment Bill. 

Some commentary is that this is because the bill has had heavy criticism from businesses and this is a way to try and boost business confidence. It is likely that this right to switch off is now dead.
